空中交通管制员是如何学英语的？

Hi! Everyone! I am Felix. It is a great honor to be the “Royal Star” in this month.

大家好！我是Felix.很荣幸能成为当月的诺亚之星。

I’m an air traffic controller working at the airport. I have been studying in Royal for about five months, which helped me learn a lot about western culture and language. I still remember the first day when I stepped into Royal. My spoken English was poor although my words and grammar were not bad, and my CC told me I need to practice. Then I began to learn from Intermediate level, and I am going to ascend in a few days. During this period, I tried my best to study hard, I went to the English Club and conversations during my holidays to improve my spoken English and Listening skills. I learned plenty of native expressions. In my spare time, I watched the TED and movies without Chinese subtitles.我在机场工作，是一名空中交通管制员。我在诺亚已经学习了差不多5个月，并从中学到了很多西方的文化和语言知识。我至今还记得我来诺亚的第一天，尽管我的词汇和语言还不错，但是口语却很糟糕，因此我的CC告诉我，我需要去多练习。然后我就从Inter级别开始学习，过段时间我就要升级了。在这期间我尽我最大的努力去学习，休假的时间我就去上输出课，提高自己的口语和听力，并从中学到了很多地道的语言表达。空闲的时间我也会去看TED和无字幕的电影。

Practicing is the first principle to improve English. If you spend two hours a day to practice listening and speaking, it will make a big difference in a few months, this is the key point. Meanwhile you should be modest and hardworking, stay positive and optimistic. I always believe an old saying that where there is a will there is a way.练习是提高英语的第一准则。如果你每天花两个小时练习听和说，几个月后一定会有巨大的改变，这是我认为最重要的一点。同时你也要有谦逊、努力的态度，保持积极、乐观的心态。我始终相信一句话：有志者事竟成。

I am very thankful for the help of my SA and CC. When I encountered difficulties, they always helped and encouraged me. They made me be more confident to study English. Students here are quite warm-hearted; we were very happy to study together. 很感谢我的SA和CC对我的帮助，在我遇到困难的时候帮助我，鼓励我，使我更加自信的说英语。小伙伴们都很热心肠，我们经常会一起快乐的学习英语。

Felix is a positive and hard-working student in Royal who studies with full passion. He took every class seriously. Also, he is always enthusiastic and always encourage other students. I am proud of him. So I recommend him to be the Royal Star in May. I hope that he will keep on working and I believe he can make more progress in English.
